Aquinas in Double OT

April 12, 2016 - NOTES: In the closest game of the night, Aquinas defeated Canisius 12-11 in the second overtime period. Without a Canisius roster, a goal for goal recount would be difficult to read. The full scoring table can be read on the stats page. The game was back and forth with neither team scoring a run of more than three goals. Aquinas never scored more than two goals back to back in their victory. There were only two times that a team lead by two goals. Canisius led 4-2 early in the second quarter and Aquinas led 10-8 late in the fourth quarter.

The Crusaders scored three goals after trailing 10-8 to take an 11-10 lead with 5:45 remaining in the game. Jamir Jones scored back to back goals for the Little Irish to send the game into overtime and then to take the victory. Jones finished with 3g for the Little Irish. Senior midfielder Nick Tschetter finished with a team leading 4g-3a in the game. He also had 3 takes and 4 ground balls.
