Churchville-Chili senior midfielder Jason Tebo added 5g-2a to his career totals of 52g-21a in the Saint`s opening 13-10 win against Spencerport last week.

Head Coach Don Benedict says: "All through the preseason Jason has shown exemplary leadership. Finishing first in nearly every sprint, he has been a vocal leader during drills."

Blake Smith

In his first varsity start, Blake Smith recorded fifteen saves while only allowing one goal against (94%) as he helped the Screaming Eagles to a 6-1 win over Newark in the opening game of their season.

Head Coach Ben Clement says: "He played very well in the game only allowing one goal (which was a transition). This was his first game at the varsity level and he played great in all aspects. He made many saves including a big one on one on the crease. Not only did he make the saves but he was also instrumental in helping us clear the ball."

From the many noteworthy performances by players each week, a small committee of SportsFive.NET staff members and some Section Five Lacrosse Committee members will create and review review nominations from coaches, players and fans and pick one offensive and one defensive player who have excelled in a game or games during the season.
