Kevin Maguire Commits to St. John`s

- MaguirePittsford junior goalie Kevin Maguire announced his verbal commitment to study and play for St. John`s University in the Big East Conference after his graduation in 2015.

The 6’0”, 205 pound goalie started between the pipes for the Panthers (14-4) last year, as they made it to the semi-finals of the tournament. This summer, Maguire was selected as a Brine All-American playing for the Rochester squad. He made the Lehigh showcase all-star team, and was named Inside Lacrosse’s “Man of the Session” at the Jake Reed Blue Chip camp in Maryland.

St. John’s Head Coach Jason Miller has built the Red Storm into a national power, currently ranked #20 in the nation. Coach Miller is also an alumnus of the Pittsford Lacrosse Program, playing four years on Varsity and named a captain in his senior year.

Pittsford Coach Andrew Whipple said “ Kevin had a great summer and has worked very hard to get to this point in his career in achieving one of his goals of playing Division I lacrosse at a very high level “

Maguire also considered Lehigh, Hartford, Fairfield, Siena and St. Joseph`s.
