On to the the NYS Regionals

Now that our Sectional Champions have been crowned, we move on the the New York State Tournaments. Some of the best player and the best teams in the State will end up here, at St. John Fisher College for Championship Day on June 8th. But before that happens, we play the quarter final and semi-final rounds.

Lacrosse is Great in NYS For Section Five fans, the first round, called the "Western Regional" round, will be hosted by Section 5 this year at St. John Fisher College. Section 5 will be the home teams and Section 6 will be the away teams.

In the Class A tournament Fairport will play Orchard Park (Section 6) on Saturday (10:00) and if they win will play the winner of Baker (Section 3) and Corning (Section 4). That game will be held next Wednesday at St. John Fisher College (4:00 PM).

In the Class B tournament Victor will play Hamburg (Section 6) at 12:30 PM on Saturday and if they win will play the winner of Vestal (Section 4) and Fayettevile-Manlius (Section 3) at 6:30 PM at St. John Fihser College.

In the Class C tournament Geneva will play East Aurora (Section 6) on Saturday at 3:00 PM and if they win will play the winner of Owego Free Academy (Section 4) and Jamesville-DeWitt (Section 3) at 4:00 PM at CNS (Syracuse).

In the Class D tournament Penn Yan will play Eden (Section 6) at 5:30 PM and if they win will play the winner of Chenango Forks (Section 4) and LaFayette/Onandaga (Section 3) at 6:30:00 PM at CNS (Syracuse).

The Championship round will be held on June 8th at St. John Fisher College. This is the third year if a three-year program to hold the State Championship here in Section Five. The Class A game will be held at 10:00 AM, the Class B game will be at 12:30 PM, the Class C game will be at 3:00 and the Class D game will be at 5:30 PM.

Admission is $6.00 for the Regional games on Saturday.

Admission is $8.00 for semi-finals and $8.00 for Championship Day.
