Greece Fights Back from Early Deficit

- Greece Storm fought back from a four goal deficit to defeat Aquinas 9-8.  The  Storm scored the go ahead goal with only 1:01 remaining in regulation after trailing for the majority of the game.  That was only the second time in the entire game that Greece took the lead.  The first time was for less than a minute early in the fourth quarter.

Aquinas started off strong and scored five of the first six goals to lead 5-1 with 4:46 left in the half.  Greece added one goal before halftime, but still trialed 5-2 going into the break.  In the third and early fourth quarters they scored six out of seven goals to take the single goal lead (7-6).  Paul Forte scored three of the six goals during the stretch and finished with 4g-2a on the night.  Aquinas’ Jake Reed scored back to back goals to put the Little Irish back on top with 9:13 left on the clock.

Forte’s fourth goal tied the scored with a little over eight minutes left and the game stayed tied until Trevor Gillard scored the game winner with 1:01 left.
