Forty-One Games with Out of Section Opponents

Section Five teams often add exciting games with teams outside the Section. Section 6 (Buffalo) and Section 3 (Syracuse) are favorite areas but some teams take advantage of spring break to visit out parts of the country. McQuaid Jesuit, for example, has combined travel and games with service projects.

Pittsford will be traveling to Florida during their break to play in a tournament at the Disney Complex. McQuaid Jesuit will also travel to Florida to play a couple of games in Tampa and Penn Yan will continue a multi-year trip to West Point and play Lakeland/Panas (Section 1). Penfield will head to Long Island to play Comsewogue and Sachem.

A total of forty-one games have been scheduled with out of Section opponents this year. Four teams (R-H, Penn Yan, Pittsford and Schroeder) are playing Clarence (Section 6). Three teams (Brockport, Batavia and Newark) are playing Medina (section 6). Penfield and Fairport are playing West Genesee (Section 3) and Pittsford and Penfield are playing Orchard Park (Section 6). Irondequoit and Fairport are playing at Ithaca this year. Fairport is also playing the home-and-home at Jamesville-DeWitt after the Rams played the Red Raiders are Hobart last year.
