-

Albe DiPasquale, a Pittsford attackman's goal, with ten second left in the finals gave Rochester another Brine National Lacrosse Classic Championship. Rochester won with a 6-5 victory over the team from Washington DC on July 3, 2012 at the Maryland Soccerplex. Although down 3-1 at the half, the Rochester team scored four unanswered goals before Washington fought back for the exciting finish.

DiPasquale had two goals and Trevor Hodgins (C-C) had a goal and an assist for Rochester. Austin Nadeau (Walpole), Max Maxwell (Hamburg) and Bradley Voigt (Penn Yan) each scored once.

Rochester beat the team from Ohio in another close one, winning 8-7. Andrew Schoeneck had 3g-1a and Nicholas Wilcox scored 2g in the victory. Nadeau and Ben Reeves (Pal-Mac) each added 1g-1a. DiPasquale scored 1g and Maxwell added 2a.

The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brought together sixteen all-star teams from across the nation. Rochester now advances to compete in the Brogden Cup this January against a team from Canada. Rochester is the defending Brogden Cup champion. The roster includes twenty-three players.

As a footnote and a good note for the future, the middle school boys from Rochester also won their championship.
