Nine New Coaches Appointed for 2011

- - Brighton has announced the appointment of Cory Holbrough as their new Head Coach, replacing Mike Gottko who will take over the Head Coaching slot at Victor.

Aquinas has appointed former Assistant Coach Jason Mordaci to fill the Head Coaching job previously held by Kevin Martin.

Churchville-Chili's new Head Coach is Joe Aquilina, taking over for David Childs.

Gananda joins the Section Five Varsity ranks with their new Head Coach Mike Pane while Batavia welcomes former Blue Devil Assistant Coach, John Mangefrida as their Head Coach, taking over for Jeremy Mettler.

Long time Eastridge Head Coach Jasson Jobson has become an Assistant Coach at Webster Thomas and is being replaced by Dave McAlpin, who was an Assistant Coach for the Lancers last year.

East Rochester selected Chris Cummings for their new Head Coach, replacing Mike Domm and the Greece Lightning (Arc/Oly) have Co-Head Coaches, Kevin McMaster and Adam Geier replacing John "Beaver" Kleehammer.

There have been quite a turnover in the coaching ranks in the last two years, with nine new coaches this year and five last year, thirty-six percent of the Head Coaches in Section Five have been newly appointed in the last two years. Only twenty-five percent of the Head Coaches in Section Five lacrosse have five or more years of experience in their current jobs.
