- Palmyra-Macedon finished last season 12-6 overall (7-1 in Finger Lakes Division II) and had their first winning season in over four years. The Red Raiders look to continue with that success this season as the two Finger Lakes divisions become one. After Pal-Mac 2009defeating Mynderse in the first round of the Class C tournament, Pal-Mac lost to third seed Livonia in the quarter finals.

Nine players were graduated last season including two year starting goalie Tim Doyle. Doyle finished his career with 657 saves and continues to play in college this season at Alfred. Doyle finished last season as the number four goalie in the Section with 65%. Graduated senior Greg Kier also continues to play college lacrosse this season at FLCC. Joining both Doyle and Kier in being named to first team All League last season was defenseman Scott Welch. The loss of Welch and Doyle is going to hurt the Red Raiders this season.

Junior attackman Edmund Williams and junior midfielder Mike Russell led the team last year and will continue to be offensive leaders this season. Russell finished with 16g-30a leading in both assists and points while Williams led in goals with 33g-5a. The underclassman will continue to be a strong presence for the Red Raiders with all returning All League honors coming from the junior class. Joining Russell and Williams are Pat Russell (Defense), Jeff Kier (midfield) and Mike DeMar (midfield). Pat Russell was named to First Team while Kier and DeMar were named to Second Team midfield and attack respectively.

Junior goaltender Matt Carkner only played two games last season for the Red Raiders; 12 minutes against Penn Yan in their 1-17 loss and 4 minutes in their 5-15 loss to Livonia. Carkner will need to step up between the pipes for Pal Mac this season. Coach Joe Hill writes of his team, "Pal-Mac will look to build on the 2009 season, with a relatively young team this year."

With the combining of the Finger Lakes divisions this season and eight teams in the league, only two out of league games could be scheduled. Coach Hill will play two contests against East Rochester.
