Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

This is the last chance for us to guess how things might turn out at tournament time. The "top of the heap" has not changed much during the season, but there is little doubt that the "spoilers" are clearly up for grabs.

CLASS A
Fairport (12-1) won game against Gates Chili and Thomas won their games against Pittsford and Churchville.

The 3-8 positions are very volatile. Most teams have beaten each other so we have turned to the strength of schedule and potential seeding points to guess just who might survive the quarter finals. Given those features, we picking Pittsford and Schroeder, but we would not be surprised if any of the 5-8 spots found favorable seeding positions as a result of games to be played this week.

Rush and Fairport both play Penfield this week. A big week by the Patriots could mix things up quite a bit. Schroeder plays Hilton in a very big seeding point game and Pittsford plays Gates.

CLASS B
There are no changes in the Class be rankings this week and we expect that these will take the top four seeds, although not necessarily in that order.

CA won all three of their games last week including a fantastic game against Penn Yan, which they won by a single goal. They play Geneva and Waterloo and then finish the regular season hosting Fairport on Saturday.

Irondequoit won their two games last week and end their regular season with Eastridge on Tuesday and Thomas on Thursday.

McQuaid Jesuit (8-10) finished their season, losing to Aquinas in The GRALL Championship last Friday. Brighton won their two games last week including one with Brockport. They finished the season with games with both Greece teams.

CLASS C
Like Class A, the top two teams are clearly Penn Yan and Aquinas, but the other two that will make the final four up for grabs, and seeding for the Class C will be dependent on some of the games played this week. That seeding may have an impact on who makes the semi finals.

Penn Yan plays at Newark on Thursday and ends the regular season hosting Amherst on Saturday. Aquinas, like McQuaid Jesuit is already done with their regular season (15-3), having won against Livonia on Tuesday, the GRALL title on Friday and Gates on Saturday.

Livonia plays at Pal-Mac on Friday and Geneva plays CA on Tuesday. Haverling plays four games this week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). Pal-Mac has B-H on Tuesday, WHitman on Thursday and Livonia on Friday.

GAMES THIS WEEK
This is the last week of the regular season. All games must be finished by Saturday afternoon in order to be included in the seeding formulas for the Sunday Seeding Meeting at which time the brackets will be released. (We will post those brackets on Sunday night.)

There are several games that could qualify as games of the week this time. Irondequoit at Thomas is at 5:30 on Thursday. The Fairport vs Canandaigua game will be an exciting way to end their seasons. and for those looking for a double-header, you may want to combine that game (at 11:00) with Amherst at Penn Yan at 2:00 PM.
