New York State Poll Out - Number 4

April 30, 2009 - State poll number four is out today and the eight Section Five teams made the list sponsored by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

Fairport advanced from #12 to #5 after defeating Thomas last week. Thomas drops from #6 to #11 and Pittsford remains on the Honorable Mention list in Class A.

In Class B, Irondequoit moved from 7th to 8th and Canandaigua moved up from 15th to tenth while Brighton remains on the Honorable Mention list.

In Class C, Penn Yan stayed in the fifth spot and Aquinas remained in the 8th spot. Midlakes and Livonia dropped off the list this week in Class C.

The top spots in week three go to West Genesee (Section 3) in Class A, Corning East (Section 4) in Class B and Manhasset (Section 8) in Class C.
