- Irondequoit ended their league season second in Monroe County Division I with a 9-1 record (14-2 overall). Seeded second in the Class A tournament, the Eagles lost to Canandaigua in the Section Five Finals and finished as seeded.

IrondequoitIrondequoit graduated 17 players from their roster last season. Seven players continue to play in college: Jimmy Walsh (RIT), Ian Nash (MCC), Tony Micelotta (Alfred Tech), Bryan Haight (MCC), Tyler Kleehammer (MCC), Mike Wallenhorst (MCC to Jacksonville), and Sean Davern (MCC to Cortland).

Irondequoit has a number of threats this season, however, most are overshadowed by Drew Coholan who is a true standout for the Irondequoit team. He was named All American as a junior last season and was named to the All Greater Rochester team for the second year in a row as well as being named to the All Tournament team for the second straight year. Two years ago as a sophomore Coholan was sixth in goals and thirteenth in points in all of Section Five and last year as a junior Coholan was fourth in goals and tenth in points. As he enters is senior year, Coholan shows no signs of slowing his offensive talent and will light up the scoreboard for Irondequoit all year long. Joining Coholan on offense will be sophomores Emmy Poccia and his brother Greg Coholan, as well as juniors, Ian Brooks, Mike Utz, John Padulo and Erik Kleehammer.

Defensively, Tyler Nash is the second most skilled player on the roster. Nash returns after being named to 1st team All County as a sophomore. He finished the season with 165 saves (60%). Last season Nash showed his youth in some of the closer games, however, after a year, he is back and focused.

Coach Craig Whipple says of his team, "Youthful would be the best way I would describe Irondequoit's disposition this year. We are looking for some young guys to fill in some holes early." Coach Whipple has scheduled out of league games against McQuaid Jesuit, Ithaca, Aquinas, and defending state Champion West Genesee.
