Thursday - Valley Over ADK 10-3

- Hudson Valley defeated Adirondack 10-3 in the second game of the day. Hudson Valley outscored ADK 8-1 in the last three quarters.

HV-ADKHudson Valley scored the first goal when, at 5:21, John Ranagan drove from the top and put a side arm shot right over the top of James Manchester`s stick. Manchester played the first half in the cage for Adirondack and finished with 4s/5ga. Adirondack scored the next two goals to take their only lead of the game. The first came as Andrew Vivian was fed the ball on the crease and after dodging his defenseman put the ball in the back of the net. The second goal came as Daniel Slipperly found Dan McKinney alone on the outside and McKinney fired the shot home from the right side.

Hudson Valley scored with 0:05 remaining in the first quarter to tie the score up at 2-2. Ranagan went coast to coast all by himself and scored. Ranagan also scored the first goal of the second quarter with a straight drive from the top to the right side where he fired from just inside the restraining line.

Hudson Valley scored the only three goals of the second quarter; JP Garry and Tyler Perrelle added the two additional goals.

HV-ADKADK scored the first goal of the third quarter when Vivian drove from x and was pushed parallel to the crease and put the ball in the net from just beyond GLE. Hudson Valley finished up the scoring with the next five goals spanning over fourteen minutes. Joe Marasco scored three of the five goals with Shawn Honovich and Perrelle each adding one.

In the cage, Robert Wordwell played the second half and finished with 3s/5ga. Michael Bonitatibus and Luke Haggerty split halves in the cage. Bonitatibus finished with 4s/1ga in the second half and Haggerty finished with 3s/2ga in the first half.

Cole McCormack dominated on ground balls and face-offs for Central winning 11/14 and gathering 5 ground balls for his team. For Adirondack Anthony Zappone was 4/7 at the face-off. Two of the three face-offs that McCormack lost were technical losses to Zappone.

Scoring for Hudson Valley were Marasco (3g-1a), Ranagan (3g), Perrelle (2g), Garry (1g-1a), Honovich (1g) and Connor Brown (1a).

Scoring for Adirondack were Vivian (2g), McKinney (1g) and Slipperly (1a).
