Wednesday - Four Mismatches

May 9, 2007 - Wednesday ’s contests were all Finger Lakes cross-over games and ones that went to running time as Penn Yan, Canandaigua, Victor and Geneva were all victorious.
  
 Penn Yan defeated Midlakes this afternoon 19-0. Scoring for Penn Yan were Matt Osgood (4g-4a), Adam Trombley (3g-7a), Ryan Cook (1g-2a), Dan Wolfe (1g), Brendan Minor (1g), Cole Castle (4g), John Linnan (2a), Josh Plumlee (1g), Mike Manley (1g), Ty Trombley (1a), Josh Perrault (1g), Chris Carlson (1g) and Brandon Trombley (1g). RJ Wickham 2s and Justin Galusha 2s split time for the Mustangs (10-4). No goalie report was received from Midlakes.
  
 Pal-Mac scored two goals in the first quarter but that would be it, as Canandaigua scored 6 goals in the first quarter and 11 more in the last three for a 17-2 victory at Pal-Mac.
  
Scoring for Canandaigua were AJ Groot (3g-1a), Connor Henderson (2g-2a), Andrew Knoblauch (1a), John Klein (1g-1a), Justin Tomzak (1g-4a), Jordan Manzer (3g-1a), Charlie Sauter (2g-1a), Jeremy Brown (3g), Brian Scheetz (2g-1a) and Sean Regan (1a). In the cage Kyle Carson played the entire game making 9s/2ga (82%) for the Braves (13-1).
  
Scoring for Pal-Mac were Ryan Buckley (1g) and Jeremy Norsen (1g). In the cage, Jon Reeve played the entire game making 10s/17ga (37%) for the Raiders (3-11).
     
 Victor scored the first, and only, eight goals of the first half on their way to a 15-2 win over Newark. Victor controlled the ground ball game 54-26 while also leading the shot 65 to 20.
  
In the cage Josh Putman made 22s/15ga (59%) for Newark (6-7) while Mitchell Liegerot 4s split time with Cody Bennett 4s/2ga (66%) for Victor (8-6).

 Geneva defeated Waterloo in a Finger Lakes cross-over game this evening 18-1. Geneva outscored Waterloo 8-0, 6-0, 2-1, and 2-0. The Panthers also won the ground ball battle 50-27.
