Brighton over Livonia in OT

- updated In the only game on Friday, Brighton won their game with Livonia in overtime 6-5. The Barons scored the first and only two goals in the first quarter and the Bulldogs came back with two unanswered goals in the second quarter to start the halftime break with a 2-2 tie. Livonia took a 2-1 advantage in the third and Brighton came back with a 2-1 advantage in the last quarter when Peter Jeffries scored an extra man goal for Brighton with an assist from Tim Williams sending the game into overtime.
     
Ryan Conti was the hero for the Barons half way through the overtime period with his unassisted goal at 2:40 which sent the Brighton squad onto the field in wild celebration.
  
Livonia’s Coach Sciera was not disappointed after the game.  “We played a good team in a close game.  We played a very nice team game, fundamentally passing and catching played a big part in our undoing tonight.  We’ll be fine as long as we apply what we learn from tonight’s game and get better.”
  
Scoring for Brighton were Justin Hillary (2g-1a), CJ Wool (1g-1a), Dan Hill (1g), Peter Jeffries (1g), Ryan Conti (1g-1a) and Tim Williams (1a). Goalie Noah Berg made 9s/5ga (64%).

Scoring for Livonia were Brian Sciera (3g), Chris Bausch (2g), Tyler Russell (2a) and Oren Taylor (2a). Goalie Justin Becker recorded 11s/6ga (65%).
