Thursday: Four Games
March 30, 2006 - Livonia (2-0) scored took early control with two goals, the first by senior midfielder Scott Mosher at 11:24 and the second by junior midfielder Adam Schaible at 11:03. The Thunder came back at 3:57 when senior attackman Dave Rodrigues scored on a feed from junior attackman Jared Bennett. After winning the next faceoff the Bulldogs came down and scored another unassisted goal by Mosher. Using the momentum, Livonia hit the net again at 3:18 on a Chadd Britton from Schaible combination. Athena/Odyssey scored the last goal of the quarter when junior attackman Matt Machucki picked up a goal at 2:45. The quarter ended with the Bulldogs up 4-2.
The second quarter saw a slowdown by Livonia as they scored a single goal at 5:51 when senior attackman John Dalberth scored on a pass from Mosher. The Thunder saw goals by Rodrigues on a feed from junior middie Nick Kulzer at 3:57 and an unassisted goal by Rodrigues at 1:01. The half ended with Livonia up 5-4.
Less then two minutes into the second half, Greece tied the game when junior attackman Jared Bennett scored with an assist from Kulzer. Livonia took the lead at 6:14 with an unassisted goal by junior middie Oren Taylor. Four minutes later, Greece tied the game again with a goal by junior midfielder Jeremy Fitzgerald. The Bulldogs regained their lead and ended the quarter 7-6 when Britton scored with 0:12 left.
The last twelve minutes belonged to the Bulldogs as Chadd Britton scored four in a row with assists from Dalberth, Mosher and sophomore attackman Tyler Russell who also assisted on the last Livonia goal, scored by Mosher. The Thunder's last goal came at 0:09 when Machucki scored (unassisted).
Livonia won the face off game14-4. The Bulldog defesneive unit of senior Andy Kurtz, juniors Shane Ward and Gabe Recchio played solidly in front ofsenior goalie Aaron Jamison who made 8 saves for Livonia (2-0)
Junior goalie Dave Tarana recorded 13 saves for the Thunder (0-2).
Waterloo had a decisive victory over visiting Haverling as they outshot the Rams 40-14 on their way to a 21-3 win. Seven players in the book led by junior John Mateo who scored 6g-7a and senior Winston Boyd scored 8g-3a for the Indians. Senior Bill Jolly and freshman Mike Ruiz each added 2g and senior Steve Kuti scored 1g-1a. junior Nelson Boyd and senior Brian Adler each scored 1g for Waterloo in their first game of the season.
Senior defensemen Josh Lewis (12 gbs) and Blane Murray led the Indian defensive unit in front of seniors Andy Riegel (7s) and Mark Nearpass (4s).
Haverling's goals came from senior attackman Zac Conrad, senior middie Kyle Benesh (1g-1a), sophomore midfielder McKenzie Durham and junior attackman John Pruyn (1a). Senior Goalie Jeremiah Wilder recorded 7 saves for the Rams (0-4). 
Aquinas was the 14-1 winner over visiting Midlakes. Leading the scoring for the Lil' Irish were senior attackmen Chris Roland (3g-2a), Nick Vincent (3g), David Schmandt (2g-1a) and sophomore middie Marc Brondon (1g-2a). Also scoring for Aquians were
senior middies Mark Pincelli (1g) and Chris Gionta (1g), junior middie Nick Brekompas (1g-1a), junior attackman Matt Smith (1g) and sophomore attackman Neil Foley (1g). The defense for Aquinas, anchored by seniors Joe Edd, Carroll Kennedy, Ed Giorgi and sophomore Alex Gray played very well allowing only 9 shots on goal. 
Scoring for Midlakes was junior midfielder Nick Newland. No report from Midlakes.
It was Corning East 11-4 over HFL in the 7:00 pm game at Alfred. The Trojans took a 6-0 halftime lead after scored 4g in the first quarter. Corning won the face off race (13-5) and outshot HFL 44-21 in their first game of the new season. HFL drops to (0-2).
Scoring for Corning were Andy Warner (4g-2a), Don Pierotti (2g-2a), Kellen Simmons (2g-1a), Carter Bloor (2g), Matt Pierotti (1g-1a) and Mitch Keefer (1a). Tom Holden made 6s and Neal Turkasz recorded 2 saves for the Trojans.
Scoring for the Cougars were sophomore attackmen Zach Whyte (2g) and Cade Norris (1g-2a), and senior middie Dan Layfield (1g). Junior goalie Pat Roache recorded 10 saves for HFL.
