Game Reports: Tue - 04/13/04

- Two games were cancelled, but five games were on in the rain on Tuesday. Canandaigua and Fairport moved their game to Hobart College and the Braves (4-0) remained undefeated with their 10-7 win over Fairport.Senior Midfielder, Mike Pane led the effort with 4g along with junior attackmen, Chris Mulheron (2g-1a) and Brian Hadsell (2g). Defensive standouts were senior Brian McWilliams and junior Mike Seron. Sophomore goalie, Dan Serafine made 9 saves for Canandaigua.
  
Fairport's offense was led by sophomore attackman, Pat Reilly (2g-3a) and 5 different players added one goal each. Senior attackman, Pat VanHall scored a goal and added an assist and senior goalie, Sean Miller made 8 saves for the Red Raiders (1-2)
  
First year varsity team, Honeoye Falls-Lima won their second game of the season and their first home game ever, 14-7 over Aquinas. The junior class was well represented with Mike Cintineo (4g-3a), David Uzialko (4g) and Jeff Price (1g-4a). Senior middie, Erich Dehm scored 3g and added 2a for the Cougars. Junior goalie stepped up with 16 saves for HF-L.
  
Mike French scored 2g-2a and Bobby DeFreeze added 2g for Aquinas. JP Gorman contributed 2g-1a and Pat King scored 1a-2a for the Little Irish (0-2).
  
Brighton won its second game of the season with a score of 11-7 over McQuaid Jesuit. Junior attackmen, Mike Ryerson scored 5g-1a and James Ryan added 1g-5a while senior goalie, Ben Baker had 14 saves for the Barons.
  
Junior attackman, Scott Rubino and senior middie, Brendan McKay each scored 2g for the Knights (0-4). [No report from Brighton, score only from McQuaid Jesuit.]
  
Pittsford score 5 goals in the first quarter and saw five different players score in their non-league game at Victor which they won, 10-2. Junior attackman, Jake Boyce scored 3g-2a and senior middie, RJ Lamontagne scored 2g-1a to lead the Panthers (2-1). Sophomore attackman, Joe Pekich and senior middie, Pat Kendrick each added 2 goals while sophomore attackman, JJ Postel added one for Pittsford. [No report from Victor.]
  
Penn Yan scored four goals in the second quarter and led at halftime 4-3, but Carthage of Section 3 scored four of their own in the third and ended up with the win, 8-5 at Union Endicott. Junior midfielder, John Van Houten scored 4 goals and sophomore attackman, Dan McGuffie scored the fifth for the Mustangs. Freshman goalie, R.J. Wickham made 11saves for Penn Yan (2-2) Carthage goalie, Mike Blunden recorded 17 saves while Geoff Weaver scored 4g and Robert Grimm and Trent Ames added 2g each for the Comets. The Irondequoit / Ithaca and the Livonia / Rush-Henrietta games were not played due to poor field conditions. No make up dates have been announced.
