Next Up: NYS Quarter Finals

- Now that the Sectional Champions have been crowned, we move on the the New York State Tournaments. Some of the best player and the best teams in the State will end up here, at St. John Fisher College for Championship Day on June 9th. But before that happens, we play the quarter final and semi-final rounds.

Lacrosse is Great in NYSFor Section Five fans, the first round, called the "Western Regional" round, will be hosted by Section 6 this year at All High Stadium in Buffalo. Section 5 will be the away teams and Section 6 will be the home teams.

In the Class A tournament Penfield will play Lancaster (Section 6) on Saturday (12:30) and if they win will play the winner of West Genesee (Section 3) and Ithaca (Section 4). That game will be held next Wednesday at Cicero-North Syracuse (6:30)

In the Class B tournament Victor will play Hamburg (Section 6) at 3:00 PM on Saturday and if they win will play the winner of Vestal (Section 4) and East Syracuse-Minoa (Section 4) at 4:00 PM at CNS.

In the Class C tournament Geneva will play West Seneca East (Section 6) on Saturday at 5:30 PM and if they win will play the winner of Johnson City (Section 4) and Westhill (Section 3) at 6:30 PM at St. John Fisher College.

In the Class D tournament Penn Yan will play Akron (Section 6) at 10:00 AM and if they win will play the winner of Chenango Forks (Section 4) and Christian Brothers Academy (Section 3) at 4:00 PM at St. John Fisher College.

The Championship round will be held on June 9th at St. John Fisher College. This is the second year if a three-year program to hold the State Championship here in Section Five. The Class D game will be held at10:00 AM, the Class A game will be at 12:30 PM, the Class B game will be at 3:00 and the Class C game will be at 5:30 PM.

Admission is $8.00 for semi-finals and $8.00 for Championship Day.
