Players of the Week - Group 5

This week we honor a sophomore from Fairport and a senior from Victor.

Offensive Player of the Week
Klay Stuver

Sophomore midfielder Klay Stuver helped the Red Raiders win a big game last week against Jamesville-DeWitt when he scored seven of the fourteen goals in the 14-12 win. He has scored in all but one game this year and has totaled 30g-11a.

The Fairport Coaching Staff says: "Klay has been a steady contributor all year, coming up with big goals when we needed them. For a sophomore, Klay has a very good understanding of the game and the space needed as a shooter. With Burek out in the early season Klay was able to have a larger responsibility, he embraced the challenge and we have seen him grow before our eyes. His confidence is unwavering and he is a very competitive young man"

Defensive Player of the Week
Chayse Ierlan

Senior goalkeeper Chayse Ierlan  was instrumental in the nets as The Blue Devils beat Pittsford in a close 5-3 game. Recording seven saves for a 70% day, the returning All American and five-year varsity goalie has made 481 saves in 3,149 minutes (58%) in the cage thus far.

Head Coach Jim Andre says: "Chayse Ierlan continues to elevate his game through his athleticism and reactions to shots. His communication and leadership on the defensive end of the field, and his ability to guide the ball to the other end of the field on clears makes Chayse an outstanding player."
