- Player of the Week

In the first two weeks of the season, we honor four Section Five players.

Jack Billitier Offensive Player of the Week
Jack Billitier

Senior attackman Jack Billitier is starting off his fourth year on the Varsity with twenty-one points in five games, helping the Knights to a 4-1 start. A key player in each of the games, Jack scored 6g-1a twice and had at least two goals in each game.

As he begins his last year at McQuaid, he has recorded 102 goals and 41 assists. He returns as a two-time first team All GRALL player.

Head Coach Terry Corcoran says: "Jack is an inside player who does a great job of getting open off ball and finishing in front of the goal. He is a team captain that displays excellent toughness and leadership."

Trevor Ford Offensive Player of the Week

Webster Thomas advanced their record to 3-0 with strong offensive efforts which totaled fifty-three goals in three games. Scoring in each of those games was senior attackman Trevor Ford.

The four year player with the Titans has 11g-6a this year and has amassed 120g-56a thus far in his career. He earned a first team attack (MC-2) selection last year and will be moving on to play at Fairfield University next fall where he will join his brother Travis.

Head Coach Rob Ruller says: "Trevor has been doing a little bit of everything this year. Shooting well and looking for assists too. He has been playing with a nice level of patience. We have a nice group of seniors and Trevor is one of our leaders on offense."

William Fell Defensive Player of the Week
William Fell

Senior defenseman William Fell is starting his last year with the Patriots as a strong take-away man with seven in three games, helping Penfield to a 2-1 season start.

The first team (MC-d1) returner, who has committed to St. John Fisher College after graduation this spring, has quick feet and is often a major part of clears.

Head Coach John Schembri says: "Will Fell has been a stand out defender for the last three season for the Patriots. A two time First Team All County Selection in his sophomore and junior seasons, he is a complete defender in his take away abilities, one on one defense, team concepts, speed and stick skills. He also carries a 90% cumulative GPA."

Aiden Kenyon Defensive Player of the Week
Aiden Kenyon

Canandaigua junior goalie, Aiden Kenyon has three games in the starting role after limited time as a sophomore and he has made the most of his opportunity with twelve saves against Webster Schroeder in the season opener and a seventy-three percent day against Geneva. His five saves against Penn Yan helped to give the Braves a 7-6 win.

Head Coach Deven York says: "Aiden is everything you want in a goalie. He is a great ball stopper that loves to see shots in practice. He is a fantastic leader with an excellent work ethic. Best of all, he is tough as nails. I have been really pleased with our team defense. Aiden has provided us with a high level of confidence and consistency."
