Looking Back

WG vs PenfieldAll fourteen games last week were non-league games and most were out of the Section. Some of the notable games included the Penfield victory of West Islip and a surprise big loss by Pittsford to Baldwinsville. McQuaid Jesuit won both of their games in Baltimore and closer to home, Canandaigua beat Penn Yan (7-6) and Canandaigua beat Geneva (6-3)

Looking Ahead

With the vacation over and league schedules in full swing, there are lots good games on tap even if the weather forecast is less than great. On Tuesday five of the fifteen games will draw special interest. They include Brighton at Churchville, Irondequoit at Thomas, Fairport at Schroeder, Aquinas at McQuaid Jesuit and Canandaigua at Pittsford. Among the fourteen games on Thursday that will draw crowds are Pittsford at Fairport, Victor at Penfield,

Aquinas at Irondequoit and Thomas at Canandaigua. On Saturday, the Homer at HF-L (to be played at Nazareth) could have an impact in the post season. Irondequoit will travel to Ithaca for their annual contest. McQuaid Jesuit will play at Wayne and Fairport will travel to Orchard Park.

These are just some of the games of interest this week. Of course, if your team is playing it is the game of the week.
