Saturday: Canandaigua Over Victor

May 6, 2017 - DAY IN REVIEW: Canandaigua handed Victor their second loss of the season 8-5. They took off in the second half, outscoring Victor 7-2 in the last 24 minutes. Victor has won the last 5 times that they have faced the Braves, with Canandaigua's last win coming in May of 2013 to win the Sectional Title in overtime. Carson Greene led the offense for the Braves with 2g-3a and Brandon Moore recorded 15 saves (75%) in the cages. Zach Estabrooks had 2g for the Blue Devils.

Schroeder (6-6) took an early lead and held on to it in their win over Spencerport (7-4) with nine difference players on the offensive book. Conor Bollin (1g-3a), Cam Cirella (3g) and Colin Griffin (1g-2a) led the Warriors. Jonathan Agness recorded 2g-3a for the Rangers. Midlakes started strong, but had to fight off a surge by Mynderse in their 14-13 win. Brandon Macdonnel (1-4) scored the game-winner with a minute left in the game. Robert Middlebrook (6g) and Ryan Macdonell (3g-3a) also led in the Eagle effort. Jake Curran (1g-6a) was the offensive leader for the Blue Devils.

Corey Yunker (3g-3a) scored his 100th career goal for Churchville-Chili in their game with HF-L today.

Also winning games were Pittsford, Penn Yan, Greece Thunder, Wayne and Haverling.
