Braves Defeat Blue Devils

- Canandaigua handed Victor their second loss of the season 8-5.  They took off in the second half, outscoring Victor 7-2 in the last 24 minutes.  Victor has won the last 5 times that they have faced the Braves, with Canandaigua’s last win coming in May of 2013 to win the Sectional Title in overtime.

Canandaigua scored the opening goal of the game with 3:57 remaining in the first quarter.  Zach Wade scored off a feed from Carson Greene.  The Blue Devils came back with the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead going into halftime.  The Blue Devils held the Braves scores for over 16 minutes.  Zach Estabrooks scored two of the goals with Connor Kennan scoring the third.

The second half was a completely different story with the Braves scoring three goals in the third quarter and holding Victor scoreless.  With goals from Henry Reber, Mark Belles and Greene, the Braves were back on top after three quarters, 4-3.  In the final quarter, Victor scored the first goal to tie the game for the third time only 0:31 into play.  A quick face-off fast-break put Canandaigua back on top only 0:27 later.  The final Victor goal was scored with 8:41 remaining in the game with Mitchell Cain scoring off a feed from Joey Pezzimenti. 

The Braves scored the final three goals of the game.  The final goal was scored with 0:08 remaining in the game by Belles.  Canandaigua goalie, Brandon Moore had a standout game and finished with 15 saves.
