Thomas Surges in Fourth Quarter

- Thomas scored seven of the last eight goals to defeat Fairport 15-10.  The Titans increase their record to 5-1 with the win.  Over the first three quarters the score was never more than 2 goals apart with the game tied seven times.  However, Thomas scored four unanswered goals to start the final quarter and take the largest lead of the game 13-9.  The Red Raiders could not come back and only added a single goal in the fourth.

Fairport scored the first goal of the game with TJ Hendricks scoring unassisted.  Thomas quickly scored back to back goals to take the lead.  Matt Hill scored both goals with Trevor Ford and Jacob Allen assisting.  The lead change was the first of five changes throughout the contest.  The Red Raiders scored two more goals to take a 3-2 lead at the end of 12 minutes.

Throughout the second quarter, Fairport held either the lead or a tie contest.  Thomas forced the tie at 4, 6 and 7 before going into halftime at 7-7.  The third quarter remained competitive.  Thomas scored the first goal out of halftime to take back the lead with Allen assisting Hill for the second time.  Five minutes later, Fairport scored back to back goals only 0:18 apart to take a 9-8 lead over the Titans.  Hendricks scored the first goal and Reese Burek scored the second. Burek's goal was the last goal for Fairport before Thomas' five goal stretch.  The Titans added one to finish out the third and tie the game at 9-9.

The face-offs were nearly split in half with Matt Cronk finishing 13/25 for Fairport and Joe Luconte finishing 13/27 for Thomas.  Midfielder Matt Hill (5) led in ground balls with Colin Horan (4) and Nick Thompson (4) adding to the count for Thomas.  For the Red Raiders, Cronk led with 8 ground balls and Jordan Bobbo added another 5.
