Saturday Eleven Big-Little Games

- DAY IN REVIEW: For the most part, of the dozen games played on Saturday, all but one was a mismatch. McQuaid Jesuit played to a 3-3 half and the Knights scored what became the game winner in the third in their 7-6 victory over visiting Wayne.

RANDOM NOTES: Canandaigua opened their season with an 11-2 win over Geneva at Hobart College’s Bozwell field. Senior face off specialist, Joe Post won 11 of 17 face offs for the Braves. Senior defenders Roger Panera and Spencer Taft each had 3 ground Balls and Roger Panera added a take away. The Braves home opener is Tuesday night against Pittsford on the Academy`s new turf stadium.

Leaders: Fairport senior midfielder TJ Hendricks led the Red Raiders with 5g-1a while Jake Santini made 6s (60%). Haverling junior attackman Connor DiDomineck turned in 5g-6a for the Rams. Scoring his first Varsity goals was Eastridge junior Joe DiSalvo (5g-1) who was paced by senior Clark Pearce (5g-1). Also scoring first Varsity points for the Lancers were Jeff Falco and Vinnie Fagan.

Eighth grader Jeremy Hopsicker scored 2g-5a for Brockport. Ashton Howlett and Trever Stein combined for 18 of 23 face offs for the Blue Devils. Trevor Ford had 4g-2a for Thomas and senior attackman Brian Burger led Pal-Mac with 7g-3a. Conner Fingar led the Mustangs with 3g-3a in their win over St. Francis. Penn Yan Goalie Kyle Welker had 11s (85%) in the cage. Jon Agness paced the Rangers with 2g-6a in their win over Williamsville North.
