Hilton Takes Irondequoit By One

- In the second overtime game of the night, Hilton scored 0:09 into the first overtime period to secure an 8-7 win over Irondequoit. The game had four lead changes and five tied scores. The Cadets took the first lead scoring back to back goals in the first and second quarters. Zeus Doser scored the first of his 2g-1a with 10:52 left in the first quarter. Twelve minutes later Justin Goodrich scored man-up with 10:07 remaining in the second to give Hilton a 2-0 lead.

The Eagles scored the next three goals to take the lead in the third quarter. John Lombardi (2) and Daniel Doktor scored. Hilton kept the pressure up and re-took their lead off goals from Goodrich and Doser. Four minutes later a non-releasable penalty gave Irondequoit the opportunity to take the lead back. Lombardi and Doktor each added a goal during the man-up opportunity. Hilton came back with 0:23 remaining in the third quarter to tie the game going into the final quarter.

Irondequoit scored the first two goals with back to back assists from Ian Eckert. Lombardi scored his 4th goal during another man-up attempt followed by Trevor Carney's lone goal of the game. The Eagles led 7-5 with 5:23 remaining in regulation. Hunter Duford scored his lone goal with 2:42 remaining. Less than a minute later Shawn Kimble scored the first of his 2g-1a to tie the game and force overtime. Nine seconds into overtime Kimble scored the game winning goal for Hilton.

In the cage for Hilton, Jarod Kimble finished with 11 saves (61%). Defenseman Armand Florio led the Cadets with four ground balls. Goodrich added three more. For Irondequoit, Max Eismann finished with 10 saves.
