DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were eight quarterfinal games played today and two were in overtime. Irondequoit was a 9-8 winner over Thomas. Spencerport was a 7-6 winner over Brighton in triple overtime. 

East at PenfieldEAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-0 at PENFIELD-19 - Eleven different players scored goals for Penfield including Sophomore defenseman Ronan Boyle, Freshman attackman Griffin Banister, Junior defenseman Braydon Albro, and freshman defensive midfielder Aaron Hardaway who each scored their first Varsity goal. Leading the scoring for Penfield (11-6) were Brodie Joyce (5g-1a), Adam Schembri (2g-3a), and Ethan Aust (2g-1a). Penfield Senior faceoff middie Nikolai Lopatka won 7+/1- = 88% and sophomore Colin Miller won 7+/6- = 54%, reaching is 100th career win in the game. Mason Schembri recorded 2s/0ga = 100% (24 mins), and Dylan Rondeau had 4s/0ga = 100% (20 mins). East United-Eastridge finishes a very good season at 11-6.     [ BOX SCORE

GREECE STORM-2 at FAIRPORT-10 - The Red Raiders too a 6-0 halftime lead and coasted for the win with scoring from Michael Priddy (1g-2a), Mitchell Monte (1g-2a), Ryan Priddy (1g-2a),Liam Moreland (2g), and Nicholas Fosegan (2g). Junior offensiveman Makhi Farrier scored his first Varsity goal in the game. In the goal for Fairport was junior Luke Ryan with 9s/1ga = 90% (45 mins). Scoring for Greece Storm (8-9) were Andrew Hill (1g-1a), and Carter Fabian (1g)East at Penfield. Facing off for Greece Storm was sophomore Eric Odell with 11+/5- = 69%. CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-1 at VICTOR-16 - Ten different players scored goals for Victor (14-3) including senior attackman Jack Herendeen (2g-3a), 8th grade face off midfielder Eli Ricci (3g-2a), freshman attackman Jackson Mead (2g-2a), and senior midfielder Aiden Clinkscales (2g). Facing off for Victor was junior JT Ricci with 5+/3- = 63% and he reached his 100th career faceoff win in the game. Eighth grade midfielder Eli Ricci won 6+/0- = 100%.  Sophomore midfielder Cooper Lass scored for the Saints on a feed from attackman Dominic Hoch.   [ BOX SCORE

East at PenfieldHILTON-7 at PITTSFORD-16 - The Panthers took control early in the game and looked back as they won their ticket to the semifinals where they will play McQuaid Jesuit. Senior midfielder Luke Fliss (3g-2a) reached his 50th career goal in the game and he was joined in the offensive book by sophomore midfielder Avery Valenti (5g-1a) and senior attackman Ian Erskine (2g-1a). In the goal for Pittsford (8-7), seventh grader Bear Wehrhein recorded 7s/4ga = 64% (40 mins) and reached his 100th career save.  Scoring for Hilton (9-8) were senior attackman Luke Schindler (1g-1a), junior face off midfielder Drew O`Buck (2g), senior attackman Chase Wilson (1g), senior attackman Mitchell Wise (1g), senior face off midfielder Michael Mitrano (1g), junior midfielder Braydon Pike (1g), and senior attackman Kevin Bell (1a). Hilton at PittsfordRUSH-HENRIETTA-7 at MCQUAID JESUIT-14 - The Royal Comets saw a fourth quarter surge to get a big closer as sophomore attackman Jackson Koopers scored and was followed by two from sophomore attackman Andrew Coleman (2g) and one from senior attackman Cody Coleman.  Junior goaltender Daniel Schmitz was credited with 24s/14ga = 63% (48 mins).   There was no report from McQuaid Jesuit (15-2) at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

THOMAS-8 at IRONDEQUOIT-9 in overtime - As one would expect, senior midfielder Jonah Carrier scored the overtime game-winner at 2:43 in the first overtime period. Thomas tied the game in man-up with 3:44 left in regulation and the Titans gain control of the ball first in the overtime period. Irondequoit goalie Sven Habitzreuther mad a point-blank save and cleared the ball eventually to Carrier. Scoring for Irondequoit (14-3) were Cooper Moore (4g), Carrier (3g), and Dylan Carey (2g). Jonah Carrier won 18+/2- = 90%.  There was no report from Thomas (7-11) at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

Hilton at PittsfordSCHROEDER-10 at CANANDAIGUA-14 - The first half was very close with four lead changes and ended with the teams tied at 4-4. After the break the Gray Wolves scored nine unanswered goals including the first four in a row by Marshall Bolster(4g-1a). Junior attackman Drew Williamee added (3g-2a), senior offensiveman Sean Olvany added (2g-2a), and junior attackman Mike Belles added (1g-2a). Mason DePew won 16+/8- = 67%, and freshman Peyton Fritz won 1+/0- = 100%. Schroeder (9-8) scored the last four goals of the game in under three and a half minutes. Leading the scoring were senior midfielder Anthony DeRosa (1g-5a), senior attackman Nate Schilling (4g-2a), junior midfielder Parker Brown (2g), junior attackman Brennan Robinson (1g-1a), and freshman attackman Jonny May (1g). East at PenfieldBRIGHTON-6 at SPENCERPORT-7 in three overtime periods - Junior midfielder Zachary Ajavananda (4g) scored the game winner with a pass from Jayden Mandarano (3a) to send the Rangers to the semifinals where they will play Victor on Friday. There were four ties in the game as the team saw 1-1 in the first quarter and 2-2 in the second. Spencerport took a one goal lead at the end of the third and Brighton freshman midfielder Tim Tourangeau (1g-1a) tied the game in the last quarter.  Scoring for Spencerport (10-7) were junior midfielder Zachary Ajavananda (4g), sophomore midfielder Zach Tortora (2g-1a), junior attackman Jayden Mandarano (3a), and junior midfielder Jamison Brown (1g-1a). In the goal for Spencerport was senior Taylor Kaye with 8s/6ga = 57% (57 mins). Scoring for Brighton (9-8) were junior attackman Miles McGuire (3g), junior midfielder Gavin Parks (1g-2a), freshman midfielder Tim Tourangeau (1g-1a), and senior attackman Aksel Stanat (1g).    [ BOX SCORE

# 3404  Pittsford Advances to the Class A Finals

SPECIAL REPORT: Pittsford moved on to the Class A Championship to face the winner of McQuaid Jesuit vs. Penfield.  The Panthers held the Cadets scoreless until the 4th quarter defeating Hilton 12-5.  The Cadets defense was noteworthy throughout the contest.  Goalie Jason Mosher had a strong game and finished with 12 saves for the game.  In addition to the strong performance in the cage, the Cadet defense played a strong zone throughout the contest.  The Panthers were forced into multiple bad shots throughout the contest.  The biggest problem from Hilton came from their limited possession time.  The Cadets struggled to have many chances at the goal.   Four of their five goals were scored in the final 3:03 of play.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were fourteen games played and it was the last game of the regular season for some teams. The Blue Panthers held off a fourth quarter surge by the Pride and held on for the 13-12 win. Aquinas, likewise held off a last quarter surge by the Lakers, winning 12-10 and locking up the GRALL title. Thomas won the battle at Webster and Penn Yan had a shutout against Clarence.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - Once again, there were many mismatches, but there were also some really good games. In the game of the last two unbeaten teams, Canandaigua (9-0) was the last team standing but the Cougars had a strong second half at both ends of the field. Senior A/M Jett Richardsen scored the overtime, game-winning goal for the Royal Comets in this game that could not have been closer with eight ties. Greece took an early lead and held on for their one goal win.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - Although the majority of games ended in mismatches, there were a couple of exciting games. Topping the list is Canandaigua's 4-3 win at Brighton where neither team scored in the second half. Pittsford took an early lead and then never gave it up in the 8-6 win over visiting Irondequoit and Spencerport held Fairport scoreless in two quarters in their 7-3 win at home. Penfield scored four unanswered goals in the first quarter and then coasted to their 11-7 win over visiting Schroeder.

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: In the first minute of the game Victor scored two goals against Fairport and cruised to a 19-2 win at Fairport in their season opener.  Sam Ricci dominated at the faceoff X, winning 16 of 17 (94%). Marcus Whitman won their first game of the season in a good game with Gananda. A couple of goals before the half was the difference as Livonia-Avon defeated Pal-Mac 8-6. Other winners, most in not so close games were Wayne, Aquinas, Pittsford, Irondequoit and Thomas.
